ACCESS TO POTABLE WATER
The water filter was specifically developed in South Africa for poor rural communities who have no other option than to use contaminated water. The gravity operated filter (VA-G) can effectively lift the quality of life of these citizens which is aggravated by a current lack of effective sanitation.
Water filters for individual rural households.

VA-RWF (VulAmanz - Rural Water Filter)
The principal users in this market segment are the many rural, peri-urban and informal households where no (or poor) formal water supply service exist.
In some areas the raw water in manually collected from rivers or dams, with no water supply service.
The Pressurised Water Filter (VA-WS) is ideally suited to be connected to a continuous water supply such as untreated water supplied from a reticulated water system from a reservoir, or pumped directly from the river or stream into a tank, or sourced from Rainwater Collection tanks off roofs at schools, clinics or at houses. The WS is filled with water and is under pressure. The flow through the filter is regulated by the outlet valve. Flows of up to 15,0 l/min can be maintained.
